Meet our friendly team

Dr Changjie Song

BMed, MMed, PhD, FRACGP

Changjie is a male general practitioner who graduated from Bengbu Medical College and started working as a doctor in China in 1985. He obtained his Masters of Medicine at Wuhan University Medical College in 1990, and came to Australia with his family in 2000. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of New South Wales Faculty of Medicine in 2004, and continued with medical research at the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine. From 2011, he completed further clinical training in various hospitals across the Nepean-Blue Mountains and Hunter New England regions, and completed his GP training in several clinics in metropolitan and rural NSW. Changjie is able to consult in both English and Mandarin.

In his leisure time, Changjie enjoys gardening and family time.

Dr Kin Lam

MBBS, BSc(Advanced), FRACGP, DipChildHealth, ClinDipPallMed

Kin is a male general practitioner who graduated from University of Sydney in 2014 and completed his hospital training at Westmead Adult and Westmead Children’s hospitals. He has worked as a GP across greater Sydney, including Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. He enjoys taking the time with patients to meet their various health needs and providing long-term care. Kin has special interest in children’s health, palliative care, and minor skin procedures. He has completed a Diploma of Child Health and also a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. Kin is able to consult in English and Cantonese.

In his spare time, he enjoys dabbling in making coffee, playing music, various sports and hiking.

Dr Man Wai Wong

BMed/MD, FRACGP, DipChildHealth, CWH

Man Wai is a female general practitioner who graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2013 and completed her hospital training at St George, Sutherland and Calvary Hospitals. She enjoys the opportunities that general practice allows for long-term, holistic care of patients and their families.

Man Wai has a special interest in preventive care, palliative care and women and children’s health. She has completed a Diploma of Child Health and Certificate of Women’s Health and is accredited to perform Antenatal Shared Care and insert Implanons. She is able to consult in English and Cantonese.

In her spare time, Man Wai enjoys going on bushwalks with her husband, reading books, baking and badminton.

Dr Alan Ng

BMed/MD, SydChildHealth, EMC(ACEM)

Alan is a General Practice Registrar who graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2016 and completed his hospital training in the Northern Sydney Local Health District. Since beginning General Practice training, he has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know his patients and strives to offer holistic and compassionate care. He is particularly passionate about preventative health and is currently undergoing training in Lifestyle Medicine. Other areas of interest include minor surgical procedures (including ingrown toenail removals), Skin Cancer Medicine and Children’s Health, and he has completed the Sydney Child Health Program, a Certificate of Emergency Medicine and an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. Alan is able to consult in English and Cantonese.

Alan is married to his lovely wife Joanne and enjoys hanging out with his family, strumming a tune on the guitar and rolling on the floor learning brazilian jiu jitsu.

Dr Karen Lee

MBBS, BSc(Med), FRACGP, DipChildHealth

Karen graduated from the University of Sydney in 2014 and completed her hospital training at Nepean and Hawkesbury Hospital. During her general practice training, she has worked in the Blue Mountains and western Sydney areas and completed a Diploma of Child Health. She is able to consult in English and Cantonese.

In her spare time, Karen likes to go hiking, baking and gardening.

Dr Samuel Cheng

Sam3 1000 (Guassian)

MBBS(UNSW), BSc(Med)Hons, FRACGP, DipChildHealth

Sam graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2010, completing his hospital training primarily in Emergency and General Medicine departments across Northern Sydney, Northern Beaches and Westmead Children’s Hospitals. Some of his main reasons for pursuing a career as a GP included his enjoyment of all areas of medicine, as well as a desire to build long-term rewarding relationships with patients and their families. Sam is able to consult in both English and Cantonese.

In his life away from work, he enjoys most outdoor activities, finding middling success in some, and resorting to spectating the others.

Dr Hea-Won Park

MBBS(Hons), FRACGP

Hea-Won graduated from the University of NSW in 2003. Since then, she has trained in Hornsby, Mona Vale and Manly Hospitals and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. During GP training she practiced in numerous medical practices in Sydney and outer metropolitan areas.

Hea-Won has worked with patients in the Korean community for over 10 years. She enjoys the wide diversity that general practice offers. The opportunity to form long term therapeutic relationships with patients is a particularly rewarding part of being a GP.

Hea-Won also enjoys being a mother to three children and a dog, and loves to read when time permits.

Dr Jane Lee

Jane3 1000 (Gaussian)

MBBS(UNSW), FRACGP, DipChildHealth, SHFPA Cert

Jane graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011 and completed her hospital training in Bankstown, Campbelltown and Bowral. During her GP training she completed a Diploma of Child Health and a Certificate in Sexual Health and Family Planning where she became qualified to insert the Implanon device. She is able to provide Antenatal Shared Care. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice having special interests in preventive medicine, chronic diseases, women’s health and migrant health.

She is proficient in Korean and knows a few phrases in Mandarin which she is currently learning. Her hobbies include coffee, music, sports and reading.

Dr Catherine Lip

Cathy3 1000 (Gaussian)

MBBS(Hons I), FRACGP, DipChildHealth, DipRANZCOG

Catherine graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2010 and went on to complete her hospital training in Hornsby, Mona Vale, Manly and Westmead Children’s Hospitals. Catherine has had a heart for general practice since the beginning of her medical training as it provides a unique opportunity to address a broad range of health care needs and to provide holistic, ongoing care to patients and their families.

Catherine has a special interest in mental health, women’s health and children’s health, and has completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2014 and a Diploma of Child Health in 2015. She is involved in providing Antenatal Shared Care and is accredited to insert Implanon and intrauterine devices (IUCD).

In her spare time, she enjoys doing needlework, culinary experimentations in the kitchen and consuming excessive amounts of Earl Grey tea.

Dr Joanne Cheng

Dr Joanne will be away on maternity leave from November 2020.

Joanne is a general practice registrar who graduated from University of New South Wales in 2016, and went on to complete her hospital training in Hornsby, Mona Vale, Manly and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals. She has always had a passion for general practice, which stems from a desire to care for patients from all walks of life. In particular, she has a keen interest in women and children’s health and has undertaken further training in these areas, completing a Certificate in Women’s Health and the Sydney Child Health Program in 2018. She has also obtained a Certificate in Reproductive/Sexual Health and Skin Cancer Medicine, and is accredited to perform Implanon insertions/removals as well as minor skin procedures.

Outside of work, Joanne enjoys watercolour painting/calligraphy, serving at her local church, and spending time with her husband and their pet cat.

Dr Sienna Liu

Dr Sienna will be away on maternity leave from December 2019.

Sienna graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011 and completed her hospital training at Royal North Shore and Ryde hospitals. She obtained a Diploma of Child Health and a Certificate in Sexual Health and Family Planning in 2014. She is able to provide Antenatal Shared Care. She enjoys the wide scope of General Practice but has a special interest in preventive medicine and children and women’s health.

Sienna is happy to conduct consultations in English and Mandarin. Outside of work she enjoys movies with her husband, discovering new brunch spots, and hopes to one day become a part-time dog trainer.

Ms Sophia Gao

Sophia is our practice nurse. She is fluent in English and Mandarin and will perform spirometry, ECG, wound dressings, immunisations, health assessments, blood pressure and diabetes checks.
